Leading image quality benchmarking website dxomark.com completes 10 years

PARIS—November 30, 2018

Dear Readers,

DXOMARK posted its first DXOMARK Sensor review in November 2008. We are delighted to announce that our dxomark.com website has now been online for 10 years.

We have come a long way since then! We introduced DXOMARK Lens and DXOMARK Mobile in 2010 and 2012, respectively. In keeping with changing technology, in 2017 we updated our DXOMARK Mobile protocol with bokeh and zoom evaluation. In all, we have published over 10,000 reviews, based on millions of data points and using the same scientific protocol and rigorous methodology to evaluate each device within a given category.

To meet an increasing demand for reviews and to accommodate our growing team of image quality engineers, we moved to a bigger facility a couple of months ago. While the move admittedly delayed some of our lens and sensor reviews, we will be making up for it in the coming months, including reviews of recently-launched mirrorless cameras.

Given the continuous flow of new photography features in smartphones (beautification, night mode, wide angle, etc.), we will continue incorporating new consumer experiences into our testing protocol.

And as always, all content will be available for free to visitors world-wide on dxomark.com!
